Questions on this project or any part of the Contract Documents and other project documents must be sent via e-mail to MSD.PROCUREMENT@cincinnati-oh.gov by the established deadline. The deadline for questions is 12:00 PM local time on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
This project consists of construction of a 2-inch LPFM extension to eliminate nuisance odor complaints. The Work include, but not limited to, installation of 2-inch force, via directional drilling and open cut, remodeling manhole invert, potholing to locate utilities, demolition of existing odor control equipment, demolition of concrete pads and salvaging fencing after chemical odor equipment are removed by the City and site restoration.
The work takes place in Anderson Township, Hamilton County, Ohio.
If a contract is awarded, it will be done so in accordance with the Contract Documents, including the method of award identified in Section H of the Instructions to Bidders in Section 00 21 13. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, or to advertise for new bids, if the best interests of the City will be promoted thereby.
The established SBE Participation Goal for this project is: 4%.

INVITATION FOR BID
Sealed bids will be received at the City of Reading, 1000 Market Street, Reading, Ohio 45215 until 11:00 A.M. local time on Thursday, September 26, 2024, and will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the project known as:
Incinerator Lane & Public Works Paving Improvements
Copies of the Plans and Bid Documents may be obtained at JMA Consultants, 4357 Harrison Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211 for a non-refundable fee of $50.00.
Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security in Bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio in the full amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked “Incinerator Lane & Public Works Paving Improvements” on the outside of the envelope. Each bid must contain the full name of every person(s) or company interested in the same. The successful bidder, upon receipt of acceptance of their proposal, must furnish 100% Performance Bond and 100% Labor and Material Payment Bond to the Owner.
All bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Hamilton County and the City of Reading as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage & Hour Administration.
The City of Reading reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
