WINTON WOODS LOCUST DELL CULVERT REPLACEMENT
Sealed bids, in duplicate, will be received by the Board of Park Commissioners of Great Parks of Hamilton County at the Winton Centre, 10245 Winton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 for the Locust Dell Culvert Replacement, located at 39° 16’ 04” N, 84° 30’ 21” W, near the Winton Woods Campground, less than one-mile south of the intersection of West Sharon Road and Lakeview Drive, as set forth in the Drawings and Specifications.
This project is to be awarded following Great Parks Board Meeting on January 16, 2025. The project consists of tree clearing, demolition of the existing CMP culvert under Lakeview Drive, demolition of the nearby parking lot, and installation of a new concrete box culvert, reinforced concrete block mat areas, rock armoring of the stream, and restoration. The project is located on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers property that is leased by the Great Parks of Hamilton County.
The project has an interim completion date of March 31, 2025 for the required tree protection installation and tree clearing completion. The project has a substantial completion date of November 3, 2025.
Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly designated on the outside of envelope with the project name. Bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Winton Centre, 10245 Winton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231
A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the parking lot of the Locust Dell Culvert Replacement site, located at 39° 16’ 04” N, 84° 30’ 21” W, in Winton Woods.
Bidders are to submit all questions in writing via email to Ron Masella at RMasella@greatparks.org, by Friday, December 13, 2024. Questions received after Friday, December 13, 2024, will not receive a response prior to construction.
Bidding Documents may be viewed at McGraw-Hill Construction Dodge, ACI plan rooms and The Blue Book Building & Construction Network. The legal advertisement may be viewed at www.greatparks.org/administration/documents.
Bidding documents shall be obtained from ARC Document Solutions, 4219 Malsbary Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242, 513-326-2300, at contractor’s expense (no refunds).
Contracts for work under this bid will obligate all Contractors to comply with prevailing wage rates established by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration.
Proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Performance Bond meeting the requirements of Sec. 153.54 & 153.571 O.R.C. executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio in the full amount of the proposal, including add alternates. In lieu of a bid bond, a certified check may be substituted, payable to the Owner in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal amount, including add alternates. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days after the bid opening date.
Great Parks of Hamilton County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
